While getting clients to hook and land fish is a goal of Tucker and Jacquie Nelson, it is not the only objective of the day. “We want to make sure that our clients learn something new each time they are fishing with us,” says Jacquie Nelson. “Instead of just telling our clients what to do, we inform them why and how to do it.”
Tucker and Jacquie Nelson are the husband and wife owner/operator team behind Nelson’s Guides and Flies LLC, which was officially formed in 2014 and is located in Livingston, Montana. Prior to that, Tucker and Jacquie did business as “Tucker Nelson” for eight years and ran a fly shop out of the Nelson’s Spring Creek lodge. Today they have a specialized, stand alone fly shop and their outfitting business is growing by leaps and bounds.
Nelson’s Guides and Flies’ professionally guided fly fishing trips are as exceptional as they are versatile. They offer wade fishing and float trips out of a drift boat, or raft, on numerous waters in the Greater Yellowstone Area. Some of the more popular fishing destinations include the Yellowstone River, Boulder River, Madison River, private lakes, small streams, the three world renowned Paradise Valley spring creeks, and waters within Yellowstone National Park (view Waters). The guide staff teaches anglers of every skill level – from beginners to seasoned experts. Fly fishing novices are taught the fundamentals of fly fishing so they can start a lifelong hobby, and elite anglers get an expert to show them around the waters or row them down the river.
