THE 50-MILE RIFFLE

Madison River

Madison River Fly Fishing

The Madison River ranks as one of the top fly fishing waters in Montana. The Madison River starts in Yellowstone National Park and flows north to Three Forks Montana. It is known as the 50 mile riffle, and is dammed, and therefore is fishable most of the year. While fishing the Madison River in Montana you’ll find that Brown trout, some cutthroat trout, and mountain white fish are the predominant fish.
