Nelson’s Guides and Flies is a guided fly fishing service in Montana owned and operated by husband and wife team Tucker and Jacquie Nelson. While getting clients into fish is a goal of Tucker and Jacquie Nelson owners of Nelson’s Guides & Flies LLC, it is not the only objective of the day. “We want to make sure that our clients learn something new each time they are fishing with us. Instead of just telling our clients what to do we inform them why and how to do it.” – Jacquie Nelson.
Tucker and Jacquie look at each guided fly fishing trip as an opportunity to connect anglers to their grassroots and serve as an advocacy for stewards of the land. They have a unique background as ranchers and enjoy sharing their experiences and love for their occupation.
Alongside their occupation as ranchers, outfitters/ fly fishing guides, and fly shop owners, Tucker and Jacquie Nelson have two energetic and adventurous kids to go home to each day. Their daughter Morgan and son Ander enjoy the outdoors just as much as their parents and can be found exploring the ranch from early morning till dusk in the summer.
Nelson’s Guides and Flies LLC was officially formed in 2014. Prior to that, Tucker & Jacquie Nelson were doing business as “Tucker Nelson” for eight years and running their fly shop out of the Nelson’s lodge. Today they have a specialized stand alone fly shop and a growing outfitting business with an excellent reputation. The Nelson family could not be more hospitable and Jacquie is an incredibly skilled and patient guide. Our group has been going to Nelson’s for five years now and could not enjoy it more. The pictures are beautiful but don’t do justice to the real scenery — you have to see it for yourself!
